What this page covers

This page sets out what personal information Imprint Immigration Services collects, why it is collected, how long it is kept and who it is shared with. It also covers the analytics and advertising tags used on this website and how to change your choice about them. The numbered sections below are the full statement and are what applies.

1. Who We Are

Imprint Immigration Services Inc. (“Imprint,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a regulated immigration consultancy based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our principal consultant, Shirani Jenita Daniel, is registered with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) under Licence R705794. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information in connection with our immigration consulting services and this website.

2. Applicable Legislation

As a business operating in Alberta, we are subject to the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, to the extent applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect and use personal information in accordance with these laws.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information: (a) Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address provided when you contact us or book a consultation; (b) Immigration-related information: passport details, immigration history, employment history, educational credentials, language test scores, and other information required to assess your immigration options; (c) Financial information: payment method details processed through our secure payment processor; (d) Website usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar data collected through cookies and analytics tools.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to: provide immigration consulting services and prepare applications; communicate with IRCC, the IRB, and other government bodies on your behalf; respond to inquiries and book consultations; process payments; comply with legal and professional obligations as a CICC-registered consultant; and improve our website and services through analytics.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We share your personal information only as necessary and permitted by law: with IRCC, CBSA, the IRB, and other government authorities as part of your immigration matter; with third-party service providers (e.g., Officio case management platform, payment processors) under confidentiality agreements; and with professional advisers (e.g., legal counsel) where necessary. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention

We retain client files for a minimum of seven years from the close of a matter, in accordance with CICC professional standards. After that period, records are securely destroyed. Website analytics data is retained for up to 26 months.

7. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Client files are stored on encrypted, access-controlled platforms. We use SSL/TLS encryption on this website.

8. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site to work and are always active. Others are used only if you agree. Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads tags load on every visit so that your choice can be applied to them. Until you accept, they run in a restricted mode: they do not store analytics or advertising information on your device, but they do still contact Google to register that a page was viewed. If you accept, we additionally load advertising tools from Meta and TikTok that let us measure whether our advertising reaches people looking for immigration help. These are operated by those companies and may set their own cookies. If you choose essential cookies only, those tools are not loaded. A live chat service provided by our CRM also loads on every visit so that the chat button is available. It is not an advertising tool. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie choices link in the footer.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate information, and withdraw consent for uses not required for our legal or professional obligations. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@imprintimmigration.com.
